Annual Staff Christmas Party 2008

We were asked to manage a party for all staff to celebrate Christmas away from the office, with their colleagues and partners. The client requested a large, exclusive venue with good music and plenty of food and beverages and simple company branding to be displayed. The registration process was to be quick and easy with a small, arrival/information desk. We were to look at additional entertainment if budget allowed.

We shortlisted a number of venues and chose the Ministry of Sound due to its facilities and proximity to client headquarters. In order to maximise flow in the venue we placed “food stations” in key locations so everyone could access food easily and speedily in additional to drinks circulating on trays. We worked with the design manager to use lighting and gobos to project the company logo and Christmas messaging. Our simple registration process via an online system was put in place and we arranged for a “party pass” to be handed out to all staff prior to the event. On arrival L2 greeted all attendees and collected passes which proved to be a simple and quick process. L2 sourced and managed additional entertainment keeping within budget.
