Client’s requirements
Our German speaking client required conference support in the way of pre-event logistics, in particular assisting with English speaking communications and translations as well as registration and conference room management. Additionally they required our expertise in negotiating the pre-event drinks welcome reception package (on a limited budget) and support with the Gala Dinner the following day.
L2’s solution
We represented the client for communications with the venue and suppliers and reported back our results regularly. Onsite we provided smart, well briefed staff to assist with the on-site registration, answer delegate questions and direct delegates in finding the multi-streamed conference sessions.
Our negotiations with the Manchester Town Hall enabled us to provide a suitable reception with a string quartet, food and drink all within a tight budget. On the 1st event day we managed delegate transport to and from the off-site Gala Dinner venue ensuring the multiple pick up points were orchestrated on time. At the close of the dinner we managed this process in reverse liaising with the drivers to ensure all delegates returned to their hotels speedily and safely.
Results
L2 removed a substantial amount of workload from the client by managing the UK communications, enabling the client to concentrate on the marketing and sponsorship.
